JD Developments offer as range of specialized services with in the construction industry in South AFrica

CONSTRUCTION MENTORING

We offer a team of SACPCMP Registered Profesional Mentors (Pr. C Mentor) to give your SMME contractors the mentorship they need to pave their way to success. Our mentors are also Registered Profesional Engineers (ECSA) and Registered Profesional Project Managers (SACPCMP). Currently we are working with PWise Projects (Pty) Ltd to complete our latest project.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Project management is the discipline of using established principles, proceedures and policies to manage a project from conception through completion, overseeing the planning and implimentation of a project. A project is an undertaking with specific start and end parameters designed to produce a defined outcome. Project managers can emply various methods and approaches to run projects, generally selecting the best approach based on the nature of the project, organizational needs and culture, the skills of those working on the project and other factors.

STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT

A key element on all projects where Communication is utilized to ensure that all relevant parties are well informed. Public and community engagement is a multi-faceted and complex activity that benifits the comunity alike. It requires a wide range of skills in collaboration, communication and project management and broadly involves (but is not exclusive to) the communication of knowledge and the enrichment of cultural life.

CONSTRUCTION – BUILDING

The company has completed various refurbishments and newnew building projects successfully and has also been responsible for work such as HAVC, which includes installation, maintenance and repairs.

CONSTRUCTION – CIVIL

The company has extensive experience in the implimentation of paving and kerbing.

We are a fully HDI and woman owned consulting practice that specialize in stakeholder management, project mangent, construction mentoring, currently 100% black owned and a Level 1 B_BBEE Value added Contributor with a Procurement Recognition Level of 135% as verified on the Built Environment Professional Scorecard.

JOSELYNE DAVIDS

C.E.O.

With over 20years experience in the construction arena, Joselyne has worked on managing small and large construction projects. Her career started at the Department of Housing as a project manager on 10 emerging contractors for buliding RDP houses. She later worked for the Johannesburg Development Agency for 13.5 years, starting as a Project Coordinator and later promoted to Development Manager. Her academic qualifications include a Diploma in Architectural Draughting and numerous courses and she is currently completing her N6 in Civil Engineering. She is a member of the NHBR, BEPEC, Project Management SA and SAFCEC and recently completed the Diamond Academy Programme at SAFCEC. Joselyne was nominated as judge for the woman in construction awards for two consecutive years in 2016 and 2017.

GODFREY DAVIDS

Project Manager

Godfrey Davids is responsible for the Communication and Marketing and is an integral part of creating and delivering information, both inside and outside of the company. In a fast moving marketing landscape, Godfrey is agile, flexible, strategic and tactical. He has a strong grasp of strategic goals as well as the ability to tactically execute. He is open to tools, services and ways to be more productive and efficient. He posesses Public Relations, Corporate Communications, Marketing Communications, Advertising and Project Management skills.

KLIPTOWN TAXI RANK (SOWETO)

The landscape design of the Taxi Rank is robust and low maintenance and allows for adequate soace for pedestrian movement. At the entrance to the Taxi Rank, a grid of Celtis trees provides a shaded environment for trading. The design elements of the landscape will blend in with the surrounding Walter Sisulu Square of Dedication Precinct development which will compirse of loose packed stone and grounds of indigenous trees.

WALTER SISULU SQ OF DEDICATION

An amazing historical event that shape the future of South Africa occured on 26 June 1955 in Kliptown, Soweto. This little scrap of land, where the Congress of the People gathered that day is known as the Walter Sisulu Square of Dedication – an area officially opened by President Mbeki 50 years after the event in 1995. This square represents a valuable part of the country’s history and has now been declared a National Heritage Site.

OUR ACHIEVEMENTS

Since the inception of my company in March 2016 we have achieved the following – Judge for Woman in Construction (WIC) for two consecutive years 2016 and 2017, SAFCEC – COMPLETED DIAMOND ACADEMY PROGRAMME (OCTOBER 2017), WIEBE Panel Member for the 2017 WIEBE SUMMIT & EXCELLENCE IN ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY AWARDS (30 NOVEMBER 2017).
